The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday, May 15, confirmed that they have been given the government's approval regarding their upcoming tour to Pakistan.
Pakistan are set to play a five-match T20I series against Bangladesh from May 25 -June 3, with matches to be played in Faisalabad and Lahore, as it was previously reported.
On the other hand, the upcoming series between India and Bangladesh is most likely to be cancelled on the back of the India-Pakistan cross-border conflict.

Previously, it was reported that the Bangladesh cricket team would decide their trip to Pakistan based on their government's approval. Teams have not played bilateral cricket in Pakistan for more than a decade. However, the country recently hosted the Champions Trophy quite successfully.
"We have got the green signal (from the government) though we are yet to receive the official letter which we are expecting sooner than latter but as far as I know government have taken the decision in principle that they will let us visit Pakistan for the upcoming tour," a BCB official confirmed Cricbuzz on Thursday.
The PCB sent the revised schedule of the five-match T20I series to the Bangladesh Cricket Board. The changes were made on the back of PSL 2025 being rescheduled on the back of India-Pakistan political conflict.

PCB Announces Revised Schedule For T20I Series
However, as per RCB's revised schedule, the series between the two teams begins from May 27 and continues till May 5. The first three games will be played in Faislabad on May 27, 29 and June 1. The final two games will be p[played in Lahore on June 3 and 5.
"After getting the official letter from the government we will start talking with our players as we learnt that some of them are reluctant to travel citing security reason. One thing we can assure is that we won't push anyone," the BCB official further said.
